Australia

The second Object of the Queensland Manx Society Incorporated is:

TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE FOR MANX NEWCOMERS AND VISITORS BY WAY OF ADVICE, COUNSEL, ASSISTANCE AND ENTERTAINMENT AS APPROPRIATE.

This Object is focused on visitors and recent immigrants that are not yet Australian Citizens.  An initial resource is our website, however people may feel more comfortable contacting us by either eMail or telephone in order to discuss specific issues.

We are unable to provide legal advice regarding immigration and visa, however the following links should help prospective visitors plan their trip to Australia and our nearer neighbours.

Prior to applying for a Visa, we recommend that you obtain a letter of introduction from either the World Manx Association (if you are a member), or your parent Manx Association or Society.  This letter may be able to be utilised as part of your Visa application, and should be brought with you to Australia as an “ice breaker” when you socialise with members of our various Austral-Manx groups.

In the list below are some tourism weblinks to our nearer neighbours – New Zealand, Norfolk Island, and Papua New Guinea.

Please let us know in advance that you are planning a trip “Down Under”
